How to Earn Points

You don’t need to spend money to get books on LitAmb Pro. The most common way to build your balance is by contributing to the library. Here are the three main ways to earn points:

1. Donate Books to the Library #

This is the heart of our community. When you donate books you no longer need, you earn points that can be used to request new reads.

• How to Donate:
  1. Go to the Donate Book page on your dashboard.
  2. Fill in the book details (Title, Author, Genre) and upload clear photos of the cover and spine.
  3. Submit the form. Your donation status will appear as “Pending Review” in your history.
• When do I get my points? Points are not awarded immediately. A library administrator must first review your submission to ensure the book meets our quality standards. Once they click Approve, the points are instantly credited to your wallet.
• How are points calculated? The system automatically values your book based on its Genre and Condition. For example, a “New” book will earn more points than a “Used” one. We also check the current demand for that specific category.

2. Buy Points (Top-Up) #

If you see a book you really want but don’t have enough points, you can purchase them directly.

• Secure Payments: We support instant top-ups using Paystack or Flutterwave. You can pay via card, bank transfer, or USSD.
• Exchange Rate: The standard purchase rate is 10 NGN = 1 Point. This means a ₦1,000 payment will add 100 Points to your wallet.

3. Bonuses & Rewards #

To help you get started, the platform offers several automatic rewards (if enabled by the administrator):

• Sign-up Bonus: New members may receive a welcome bonus of points just for registering.
• Referral Rewards: You can earn points by inviting friends to join the platform. You receive the reward once your referred friend completes their first transaction.
• Subscription Multipliers: If you are on a Premium or Pro subscription tier, you get a permanent “earning boost.” For example, if a standard user earns 100 points for a donation, a Pro user might earn 120 points for the exact same book.
