What are LitAmb Points? LitAmb Points are the official currency of our community. Just like you need money to buy things in a store, you need Points to request books on our platform. This system ensures fairness: to receive books, you generally need to contribute by giving books or supporting the platform.
Your Digital Wallet Every member has a secure Wallet that works just like a bank account for your books. You can find it on your Dashboard. It tracks:
- Current Balance: The points you have available to spend right now.
- Lifetime History: A permanent record of every point you have ever earned or spent.
How much is 1 Point worth? The value of a point depends on whether you are buying them or using them.
- Buying Points (Top-Up): If you want to boost your balance instantly using cash (Naira), the standard exchange rate is 10 NGN = 1 Point. For example, paying ₦1,000 will credit your wallet with 100 Points.
- Earning & Spending Value: When you hold points in your wallet (earned from donations or bonuses), their internal value for book exchanges is typically calculated at 5 NGN = 1 Point. This helps keep the book exchange economy stable.
